SALES ENGINEER
Position Description
DATASYST is an independent third party test laboratory that specializes in environmental and mechanical product testing. Areas of testing include, but are not limited to: vibration, mechanical shock, impact, temperature, humidity, altitude, thermal shock and stress/strain. Clients' encompass all market sizes and the manufacturing sector in all major industries.
DATASYST is seeking an experienced sales engineer who is proficient at evaluating and understanding a customers product test needs and how to achieve the desired outcome. The eligible individual must have the ability to review and understand technical specifications, generate quotations and actively use a CRM program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and win new business opportunities
- Service and retain existing business
- Develop key relationships with account decision makers
- Minimal Travel Required
Competencies
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Electrical and Mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (ACT! is preferred)
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Other projects as assigned by management
Experience/Education
B.S. in Engineering or related field and 5+ years experience technical sales. Extended experience will be accepted in lieu of completion of a formal degree program.
